*Spicy* Tuna Mango Salsa

I love simple recipes that involve mixing ingredients together without the fuss of having to turn on a stove. This latest was a weekend experiment that will certainly be part of my regular rotation from this day onward.

The ingredients are simple, you will  need:

-Fresh tuna
-Avocado
-Mango
-JalapeƱo pepper
-Red Onion
-Black sesame seeds (optional)
-Sesame or olive oil (optional)
-Mayo & Sriracha chili sauce (for spicy tuna dressing)

There are only two steps to this recipe.

{Step 1} Chop up the vegetables and tuna.  Mix them together in a bowl
{Step 2} In a separate dish, mix a little Mayo and Sriracha chili sauce.  Add this mix to the ingredients in step 1 and blend well. (Add a little at a time and taste along the way until you are happy with the spiciness ratio). Sprinkle with salt/pepper (if desired) and top with black sesame seeds.

The sweetness of the mango is a perfect compliment to the spiciness of the jalapeno & sauce. Finally,  you can make it look all fancy by adding some organic blue corn chips and enjoy!

"Go to bed greasy, wake up gorgeous." The Celebrity Secret to glowing, healthy skin

What would you say if I told you that Nia Long, Beyonce, Tyra Banks, Alek Wek, Kelly Rowland and others have at least one beauty secret in common?  This shared secret keeps the beauties looking youthful & glowing. And best of all, it's not a $100 skin cream or some bizarre facial proceedure.

Turns out that all of these gorgeous beauties have a night time regimen that includes applying a thick balm or oil to their skin so they wake up each day glowing.

Nia Long mentioned in an interview that "the key to great skin is to keep it super-duper moisturized."  So, every night, she rubs on some Aura Glow, and almond scented oil, to her skin after taking a shower (while her body is still wet).  According to Nia, she "goes to bed greasy" and wakes up glowing.

Miss Beyonce, pretty much has access to amazing beauty products from all over the world.  But what does she prefer to keep her face moist and supple?  Aquaphor.  Yes, you heard me. The same Aquaphor that you can pick up at any drugstore.  Beyonce told Elle magazine that she "goes to bed totally greasy."  Using Aquaphor from everything to her elbows, feet and face.

Tyra Banks was so enamored with Vaseline petroleum jelly that she gave everyone in her audience a jar (while in a screaming frenzy) to take home for themselves.  The list of celebrities who use Vaseline on their skin and under their eyes is endless.  Jennifer Lopez, Alek Wek, Kelly Rowland, along with so many others.

I have been testing this theory of "going to bed greasy" out for myself the last few weeks.  My biggest fear going into it, was that my already acne prone skin would literally explode with break outs.  First I tested using Vaseline around my eyes only. Then I added a thin layer on my forehead (which normally is acne free).  The next morning my skin looked great. So I became bolder and put a little on the rest of my face.  Each morning, I looked in the mirror and liked what I saw. So I kept going.  Best of all, I haven't seen any sign of impending breakouts.  Can't even tell you when the last time I had a pimple. Thanks to Nia, I've also been applying almond oil on my skin instead of lotion.  Because of these ladies, my lips are softer, and my skin has a constant glow.

There are some online sources which claim that petroleum jelly may be a dangerous product which could be absorbed by the skin. So I took the safe route and picked up an all natural version of petroleum jelly at the health food store called Un-Petroleum.  Un-petroleum contains feel good ingredients such as castor oil, coconut oil, beeswax and vitamin e.  I think my lashes will really benefit from using Un-Petroleum as an "eye cream" on a regular basis.

Even in the summer, my skin tends to get dry so this new routine is just perfect for me.  My elbows and knees are happy and my skin looks great!  Because of the thickness of these balms, it's a great idea to stay consistent with exfoliation to avoid build.  Nia long uses her Clarisonic regularly and Beyonce's beauty makeup artist recommended the we exfoliate twice a week. We get rid of old skin by exfoliating, then we protect our new skin with rich balms and sunscreen.  Put that all together and we've got the formula to a gorgeous glow.

**DISCLAIMER** If you choose to use a little Vaseline on your face, please do it in moderation. The key is not to slather on a thick layer, especially on your face.

Who else is using Vaseline or oil at night? How do you use it?

Motivation Monday: Raising our own Standards & Expectations

Motivation Monday:

I've been thinking a lot lately about my personal standards and expectations.  As I look at all the areas in my life, I can see very clear differences in my expectations.  For instance, I am quite selective in what I chose to eat.  There are certain foods that will not touch my lips.  My stance is firm and there are no grey areas.  But if you look at my physical activity, there are times when working out is a priority and there are times when other things get in the way.

There are other areas of my life where my standards are high and where they're practically non-existent.  When my standards are high, and I'm consistent in maintaining them, my results are phenomenal.  By the same token, where I have little to no standard, my results are pitiful at best and somewhat destructive overall.

Having no standard requires too much of your thought power.

I mentioned in fitness tips video that by not eating gluten, I take away one very important factor which is a major hindrance high standards....discipline.  By taking away choice  I don't have to decide whether or not to take that first bite of cake.  My standard is set at "I don't eat gluten heavy foods."  So if there is a tempting spread of cakes, cookies, pasta, garlic rolls, etc.  I automatically know the outcome.  I either find something else to eat or I wait.  There are no other options.  This may sound undesirable to some of you.  But actually, I've never been happier.  No longer will I have to deal with my will power in scenarios where I'm exposed to high calorie goodies.  Especially considering that before going gluten free, I had little to no standards on managing my intake of sweets.  My willpower muscles just weren't strong enough.

When I look at all the areas of my life where my standards are the highest, I realize that my stress and anxiety levels are lower.  The same is true for the reverse.  One area where my standards are below expectation is in my physical environment.  My home isn't overly messy but there are times when the clutter gets out of hand.  I have a dreaded habit of not putting things away immediately after use.  Things pile up, then I have to set aside time to reorganize.  My standard in this area is fairly low.  Because of this, I have to deal with a nagging feeling of  having to clean up.  When I look around my working area, I may experience feelings of overwhelm, disconnect, or stress (even at low levels).  Those feelings take away from my creativity.  My subconscious mind is dealing with the clutter which restricts my conscious mind from being fully engaged in the creative process.  I know this because I've experienced writing when my environment was highly organized and when it wasn't.  So I ask myself, what if I were to establish new standards in this area? What if I chose to redefine what I was willing to accept and worked consistently to maintain those standards?

Low (or no) standards keep getting lower

When a standard is set.  We work to stay at that level or go higher.  But unfortunately, low standards work the same way.  If I'm ok with the way things are, chances are that I'll be ok if they get a little worse. Most likely, I won't take any action to change the situation until things are at rock bottom.  When I can't take it anymore.  If there are areas in our lives where there aren't clearly defined standards, consider that the same as having NO expectation.  How do you know if you have a high standard?  High standards can clearly be articulated.  For example, when someone says things like  "I don't eat gluten, or I only drink water, or I exercise regularly, or "I wash my face every night before bed no matter how tired I am." They are expressing their standard.  If I don't have the standard of washing my face every night (for example), I can go 1 day or 365 days without nightly cleansing. It's all the same because I don't have an opinion or way or another.

Kimora Lee once shared "a place for everything and everything in it's place."   That's her expectation for maintaining her environment.  When I searched my own mind for the environment standard I set for myself....nothing came up.

High standards bring new experiences
Over the past several years, I've been focused on elevating my standards and expectations.  The main outcome of my actions has been a plethora of new experiences.  In many ways, my life looks vastly different than it did five years ago.  Heck, 2013 has been an exceptional year because of the level demand I've placed on my own habits.   For everything we do, we get something.  Good or bad.  If we choose to do things at a high level, we will receive greater returns.  So keep bringing your standards up, even if just a little and you will craft a new life for yourself.

Maintaining high standards
Saying you want to do something, and maintaining high standards are vastly different.  The video below shares the key to KEEPING your standard.  Anthony tells us that rituals are the main ingredient to success.  I'll let him tell you more about it. Do you know how I can tell if my standards are lacking in an area?  If I'm being reactive.  For example, if I head back to the gym because I've gained 10-15 lbs, this means that my fitness rituals were not in place.  If company is coming over and I have to scramble to organize and clean......you guessed it (no rituals)!

Don't be "wishy washy,"  Set the highest standards you can
I know you're thinking,  "Nadege, you want us to set these crazy, high standards that no one is going to reach?"  The answer to your question is YES!  Because (with rituals) setting high standards are actually easier than being wishy washy and reactive.    If you stay ready, you ain't gotta get ready.  There are women who set the expectation that they will look their BEST at all times, so they create rituals to align with their standards.  If they happen to run into an ex boyfriend someplace random, they ain't got no worries about their appearance (low stress).  If a nail chips or breaks, it's a small inconvenience but the person who doesn't keep themselves up might require a full makeover to create the same look if they were meeting their ex.  If my standard would be to drink a full gallon of water a day, all I would have to do is set a gallon of water on the counter and challenge myself to drink at certain times of the day until the gallon was gone.  This is much easier than remember to fit it in.

When I was in college, I set an expectation of the salary I wanted to make once I had enough experience in my field.  Looking back, I wish I had set a much higher standard.  Why, because my actions would be different and maybe even my choice of work.  Now, my next course of action will be to identify areas where my standards are low and, one by one, set the highest level expectation I can in those areas.  Then I'll identify what rituals I need to put in place to make it happen.  My motivation will be to focus on what  I will gain from my actions.  We're more likely to do something consistently if we are deeply connected to the benefits.

I'll let Mr. Robbins tell you more about it.

In my bag....

(Chanel Hobo  I previously lusted after in a Currently Craving post)

I was long overdue for a handbag organization session. Being one of those people who likes to carry everything with them, it's important that I organize on a regular basis.

I adore large bags.  On the one hand, larger bags make it easy for me to always have everything handy, but on the flip side, I always find myself carrying more than what I need.  That's why I tried *my best* to reduce what I carry with me to the bare essentials.

1. Water, water, water
4. Ipad Mini
10. Snack bar - Matcha
12. Ipod
13. Makeup case - LV
14. Oil blend - Gleau travel size
15. Portable battery

One will never catch me in the street without a bottle of water handy.  I realize that since my diet is so limited, it makes sense to have healthy snacks with me as well.  Normally, I'll throw a few Kind bars in my bag but this time I stocked up on these awesome Matcha Green Tea snacks. They look weird but taste way better than they look.
Right now I'm wearing my hair straight so I just need a couple of things to keep it happy. As always, Gleau keeps it soft and provides a remarkable shine.  I also stocked back up on my It's a 10 with Keratin.  My straightened hair responds so well to this.  Just a few spritz on dry hair and all is well again.

My main beauty essentials are kept pretty simple.  Just some sunscreen, my MAC Studio Tech, YSL eyeshadow and a series of lip glosses and lip sticks.  And, of course, I like to carry a few travel size fragrances with me as well.

I tend to have lots of tech stuff including 2 cell phones *one for work*.  Without my portable battery charger, I am in deep doo doo.  I love this thing because I can charge the Blackberry, the Iphone, the Ipad, and the Ipod using the one charger.  I have panic attacks if I don't have it on hand.  And since I travel quite a bit, I don't fret if the power outlet at the airport is occupied.

What are the everyday must haves that go in your bag?

MUST SEE!! My Komaza Hair Analysis Results (PIC HEAVY)

This is one of the most exciting posts that I've written in a while.  A dream of mine finally came true.  For the longest, I've wanted to have my hair analyzed and now I can scratch it off my bucket list.  You may remember from part 1 of this series that I sent over some hair samples to the good folks at Komaza hair care.  Once they received the hair and analyzed it, I was contacted to discuss the results via phone consultation.

To be honest with you. I was deathly afraid of what would come back. Why?  Because for the past 4-6 months, I've been pretty negligent with my hair.  I haven't been giving it the attention it deserves and was experiencing, first hand, the result of my actions.  I was so nervous, in fact, that I trimmed (cut) around 2 inches so I can get a head start on getting everything back on track.

The person on the other line was super friendly.  She took her time to discuss my results and answer any questions.  There were lots of pics but I wanted to show you the most interesting ones.  So without further adieu, let's get started....

There were several slides of my hair roots included in the summary.  She stressed that they look closely at the root to see if there are any signs of thinning.  All of my shed hair had a full, healthy bulb. In her words, "healthy root means healthy growth."  I'm glad to hear that.

This was probably one of the coolest images. Check out this knot.  Years ago, I was plagued with single strand knots but lately, not so much.  In fact, if I hadn't seen this pic, I wouldn't even thought about single stand knots as a concern. But now that I'm confronted with this image, I will be on the lookout to determine if this is a random occurrence or something I should be worried about.

There were several pics depicting various types of breakage.  Some at the end of the strand, some in the middle.  Just looking at these pictures make me cringe.   The stress point damage (below), she said, could be caused by me wearing a bun in the same place day in and day out.  The mid shaft breakage could be contributed to over manipulation coupled with lack of protein.

Another thing she mentioned was that I seemed to have obvious product buidup.  She invited me to introduce a baby shampoo into my regimen. The recommendation of a baby shampoo is so my scalp does not get irratated due to my seborrheic dermatitis.

Even with the graphic images depicting violent breakage, the consultant told me that overall, I had healthy hair.  I was shocked.  These pics completely freaked me out.  Honestly, I thought I'd have to shave it all off and start all over again.  She told me that she had to search the samples to find examples of breakage for the sake of the discussion.  Believe it or not, she said that, overall, my hair had good elasticity and took several firm tugs before the strand broke. Although most of my distressed strands showed signs of cuticle lifting, she said that severity of the lift was relatively minor (considering that I was relaxed) and could be easily be addressed.

Oh, she also acknowledged me several times during our conversation for the amount of water I drink daily (takes a long swig from water bottle).

We talked specifically about what actions I should take based on my hair's strengths and opportunity areas.  I took copious notes and will discuss my next steps in full detail in a follow up post.  Even though I'm a veteran at this hair game, there were still some new insights that I got from the consultation. Can't wait to share with you!!!!

What do you think of these pics, pretty crazy huh?

Skinceuticals Physical Fusion UV Defense review

As a follow up to the recent SPF post, I received a request from Miss Yada.   She read on several sites that Skinceuticals was recommended for women with darker skin tones and wondered if I could do a full review. Actually, this was the exact reason that I was drawn to this sunscreen in the first place. I was looking for something that blended well with my skin.  Plus, I really liked the high level SPF and the Skinceuticals brand.  In fact, there are several other Skinceuticals products that I've got my eye on and will be using in the future.

The Physical Fusions UV Defense was on my Amazon wishlist for quite some time before I took the plunge.  Finally, I told myself that waiting served me no purpose and made my decision. The way I see it, there were no down sides to purchasing.  It had the highest level SPF of any product I owned, the reviews were very positive and, since we're in the month of July, I figured that now would be the time to take my UV protection to the next level.

One thing to note about the bottle is that it's relatively small.  Under 2.0 oz in total. Great for carrying in my bag or for travel. What I like about the packaging is the shape of the bottle and the easy pour spout.  Which makes a lot of sense since it's a fluid not a cream.

I wouldn't consider this product moisturizing.  The consistency is too thin for that.  The UV Defense Fusion has such a watery texture that I must be careful when I apply but the spout makes it pretty much mistake proof.

Regarding the claim that this product works well on darker skin tones.  I'm guessing this is because the fluid is mildly tinted.  I do appreciate the effort made by SkinCeuticals to include tint but, honestly, it doesn't match my tone.  But, I don't think that was the intention.  I believe the intention was to cancel out that dreaded white ghost look that most high impact sunscreens provide.  Case in point, my Shiseido SPF 42.  Skinceuticals doesn't make me look white, but I do have a slightly grey hue if I don't take the time to massage in thoroughly.  Once it soaks into my skin, there are no visible traces of it.  The watery consistency works in its favor because I feel like I have absolutely nothing on after application.  No greasiness, no heaviness. Nothing.  This is perfect for daily use because I don't feel like it's a burden to wear a sunscreen can makes me sweat even more.

Overall, I'm really happy with my purchase. Skinceuticals is pretty much the only sunscreen product I use on my face (even though I have others).  The only exception is when I apply IMAN SPF 15 to add additional color and coverage.  I can't imagine anyone not liking this product. The only drawback is that it isn't hydrating so you probably want to apply a moisturizer first if your skin needs it.

Sunscreen is such an important product. It's going to help diminish my hyperpigmentation, it'll keep my skin young and healthy. I no longer want to use low quality products to protect my skin.  I want the best I can find.  Is skinceuticals the best?  I don't know, but I feel comfortable calling it "really good" and recommending to anyone who is considering making the purchase.

The Clarisonic PRO experience that left me wanting more

I mentioned recently that I visited a skin care studio for a long over due facial.   We already talked about the harmonized waters that I was introduced to as a result of my visit.  But I neglected to tell you about another find that has been on my mind ever since.

There I was, laying on the massage bed, when my facialist announces that she's going to cleanse my face.  Normally, this means that she would apply then remove the cleanser using a warm washcloth.  This time, after applying the product, I heard the familiar sound of a Clarisonic facial brush.  Having owned a Clarisonic, I thought I knew what I was in for. The instant the brush touched my face, I knew that something different was happening.  She used the Clarisonic as one would normally, but the entire experience felt amazing.  The brush was super firm and the rotation was powerful.  It felt like my face was being massaged, exfoliated, and cleansed all at once.  I wanted it to last forever.

Suddenly, the buzzing stopped and she put the facial tool away.  Then she began to talk about the next step in the process but I couldn't hear a word she was saying.  My mind was fixated on what just happened.  After a while,  I couldn't take it anymore. I interrupted her mid-sentance  and announced, "that Clarisonic felt different than mine."  Calmly, she replied "that's because I used the Clarisonic Pro."  She went on to talk about how the pro version had a bit more power  and every once in a while she was able to get one on discount if I was interested.  I filed that piece of information in the back of mind for future reference.  We moved on to the topic of harmonized waters and the rest was history.

For the last several weeks, my schedule has been insane (for lack of a better word).  I haven't had the time to visit the steam room and I neglected the use of my Clarisonic.  Those two circumstances worked together to create congested, dull skin.  When I touched the surface of my face, I could feel roughness that stemmed from the build up of dead skin, oil, etc.  I spent a few days wondering what I could do to address the issue. I tried Biore pore strips (which did nothing).  I also applied my Mandelic Acid peel which helped but didn't really resolve my issue.

Finally, my salvation came in the form of my Clarisonic (original).  For the first time in weeks, I turned that baby on and used it as I normally would.  This time, however, I went through the entire cycle twice because I felt it necessary.  Once I was done, I noticed a difference IMMEDIATELY!

Immediately.

When I touch my face, I feels smooth again.  My pores are clean & small.  Knowing how effective this tool is makes me want the Clarisonic Pro even more.  I would love to use the Pro right now.  It almost feels like my encounter with the Pro version was like meeting someone new even though you are happily involved.  Sure, you love your main squeeze to death, but the new one offers something more....and you can't wait to experience that again.

This is why the Clarisonic Pro has made it immediately to the top of my Cravings List.  I'm completely sold by it's ability to deep clean, exfoliate and promote circulation all at once (with options of up to 4 speeds).  Oh, and I forgot to mention that the Pro comes with a body brush.  I know my neck, chest, shoulders and back would love to experience this.  For the time being, I will bring my faithful Clarisonic back into rotation.  Meanwhile, in the back of my mind, I'm secretly planning the day when the Pro and I will finally be together again.

Awaken the senses// My Fragrance Favorites

If you're wondering why you haven't heard about new hair products lately, that's because I've been focusing my attention on creating my perfume collection.   Or should I say, elevating my perfume collection.  There are few words to describe the feeling of being surrounded by your favorite aromas that generate emotions of beauty, femininity and luxury all at once.

I owned quite an extensive scent collection which included everything from body sprays to perfume oils but the experience I get with designer scents is unmatched.    The minute I mist myself, my mood immediately changes. I carry myself differently. I become a new woman.  They say that we create a higher level of energy & attraction if we feel good throughout the day.  My intention is to constantly generate powerful feelings for myself as often as possible.  These fragrances help create that for me.  I don't want to save that experience only for special occasions, I want it every day.

What are your favorite indulgent scents at the moment?

SPF: So Perfect & Flawless. How sunscreen gives me beautiful skin

Sometimes I struggle to remain consistent with using my beauty products but I have to hand it to myself because I've been religious about daily use of sunscreen. After reading a few articles where ageless beauties like Iman and Gabrielle Union gushed about their daily devotion to sunscreen, I finally decided to get serious and made sure it became an everyday practice. Every single day after applying my apple cider vinegar toner, I reach for a serum then layer on a sunscreen moisturizer.

Let me just say how much I have benefited from my diligence.  Seems like my acne doesn't scar as severely as  in the past.  Throughout my skin care journey, I've struggled between controlling by breakouts and managing the scars.  Feels like a viscous cycle where I'm constantly dealing with one issue or another.  I have the upper hand when I combine daily sun protection with my exfoliation routine.  When a pimple clears, the long term effects aren't as devastating as they were in the past.  I can focus now creating clear skin and let the rest take care of itself.

Now that I'm a believer in daily sunscreen, I've decided to step things up a notch and transition to an SPF 50 formula for the summer months.  In the past I would be turned off by the slightly white hue of many of the sun protection products out there. But, with the help of the Iman BB Creme, this isn't a concern for me. After applying my current sunscreen, I add the IMAN beauty balm to bring a little color back to my skin and all is right with the world again.

Then there's the fact that UV rays are probably the number cause of premature aging.  Fine line, wrinkles, age spots and tough leathery skin are all part of the package when you chose to go head to head with the elements unprotected. So  not only am I promoting even toned skin but I'm also protecting my skin for the precious future. I wrote a post a while back about my future self and what she would wish I did today.  I'm 100% certain that the future me is counting on my consistent use of sunscreen to create even toned skin and to keep my skin looking healthy for the rest of my life.  I want her to know that I won't let her down.

DRINK YOUR WATER CHALLEGE: Harmonized Water

It's been exactly seven months since I've had a facial so I thought I'd treat myself since my birthday is approaching.  Groupon had this special on a Skin Infusion Treatment so I took the plunge.  Since I bought a series of three, I'll wait until the final treatment to give any feedback on the treatment itself.

But the real reason why this visit was so amazing has a connection to our ongoing Water Challenge.  This Skin Studio uses all natural products from a brand, called Osmosis, meant to nourish the skin from the inside.  That's all good but when I searched deeper into the company I learned of a product offering that had my complete attention.

Osmosis creates products called Harmonized Water.  Basically, Harmonized Water is frequency enhanced water that "contains vibrational messages imprinted onto the water molecules."  If any of you have ever seen the movie "The Secret,"  you may remember someone mentioning that everything (including ourselves) has a vibrational frequency.  When we shift our thinking to what we want, we shift our frequency to align with attracting our desired outcomes.  Do you remember my "Love Water" post where I talked about how water responded to positive and negative frequencies according to experiments by Dr. Emoto?  Harmonized  H20, I'm guessing, capitalized on this quantum physics based theory to create water that are meant to promote health while addressing specific health concerns.

The site offers a variety of different frequency waters.  I had my eye on the Hair, Skin, and Nails formula but the beauty clinic didn't have any on hand.  So I grabbed the Anti-Pathogen which is said to help the body detox and clears acne, along with the digestive health.  I wanted the UV protection but decided to grab it on my next visit.  I've read several testimonials online from those who've stated that the UV protection protects them from burning even though they spend ours in the sun without the use of sunscreen.  It's only been a couple of days since I've started using so I don't have much to report.  I love the fact that they're odorless and tasteless.   Also, my desire to drink up has gone up tremendously since I know that my water now contains frequency-enhanced molecules that could bring me additional benefits beyond what I already receive.

A few months back, I bought a powered supplement to add to my water for added the nutrition. I hated everything about it...the taste, the grittiness.  I love the potential of harmonized water even though I have no idea if it actually works or if the placebo affect has something to do with it.   Actually, I have noticed some benefits but I don't want to be too quick to say that the Harmonized Water created it.

My next step is to experiment with Hair Skin and Nails water which is said to "use frequencies that balance the disharmonies in the hair follicle and nail bed.  The balancing effect usually results in a reduction of hair loss and noticeable strengthening of your nails. " The claim they make on the site is that a user would see a difference in the amount of hair shedding within the first month.  While doing some research for this post, I learned a lot about structured water, and the claims about it's potential.  My interest has really peaked and I am still devouring information on this topic.  As I gain a better understanding, I'll share more.

In the mean time, if you'd like to learn more about this frequency enhanced water, you can check out their info here.

Love Her Look: Keri Hilson, big curls, and bold accents

The moment I caught a glimpse of Keri Hilson rocking her new look, I was instantly enamored. First off, I appreciate the change which portrays her as glamorous & sophisticated.  I fell in love with her amazing necklace which is the perfect statement piece for her entire look.   Oh, and let's not forget her perfectly bouncy, multi-hued curls.   I love how effortless she rocks her enormous curls.  Big hair makes me so happy inside.  If I were to recreate her look, I'd do so with the help of my trusty Caruso Steam rollers in the largest size.

Jewelmint Jett Neclace // Statement Ring //Nude Lips //

Keri's statement necklace is flawless but a little out of my price range.  I found similar spiked necklace options herehere and here.  And I absolutely love her printed blazer.  The colors are amazing and the pattern is  so perfect.  Best of all her make up is flawless yet understated which allows her hair and strategically placed statement pieces to shine.  Thank you Keri (and stylist) for this wonderful look which will work perfectly for date night or a dinner with friends.
